The Care Team host a number of events for the community
Singing for the Soul
The singing group takes place on the first Thursday of each month from 11am to 12:30pm. Sessions are led by a professional singing facilitator.
After a fortifying cup of tea and biscuits and a warm chat, participants begin by warming up their voices and then learn new tunes as well as many old familiar¬¬¬ ones. The singing is accompanied by a pianist and a variety of percussion instruments.
The communal sing-a-long in a relaxed environment provides lots of smiles and a good bit of laughter! Clinical evidence is growing for the health and wellbeing benefits of group singing and the purpose of the group is that one doesn’t have to be ‘able to sing’, or have perfect pitch, the point is to join in and all voices are welcome in the group. Singing in a group lifts spirits like nothing else and brings with it mental clarity, connection with others and a feeling of physical wellbeing.
Everyone is welcome and essions are free. However, to subsidise the cost a donation of about £3 would be most welcome.
During Chanukkah the Care Team host a delicious light lunch for the more mature members of our community. This extremely popular event is made even more special with fantastic live entertainment provided by the Year 6 children from Clore Shalom School and a candle lighting ceremony led by our Rabbis. It is always really inspiring to see how the different generations communicate so beautifully together.
Summer Concert with Lunch
During the Summer the Care Team host its ever-popular Summer Musical Concert and lunch. A delicious light lunch is provided and we are joined by a friendly group of JCOSS pupils who treat us all to some wonderful musical entertainment. It is always a delightful and uplifting afternoon.

Memory Matters is an outreach club offered to people who live in the surrounding areas to support people experiencing memory loss and other difficulties. It is organised in partnership with Jewish Care.
