In 2001, he gained a BA and then an MA in Hebrew and Jewish Studies and was ordained as a Rabbi in 2002.

As Outreach Director, he worked closely with lay and professional leadership of congregations of all sizes to identify areas of growth. He also identified potential locations for new congregations. Aaron has established and developed Communities in Edinburgh and Manchester.

He has conducted regular and lifecycle services in congregations both large and small and has developed new models of formal and informal religious education for both children and adults.

In the pastoral field, he has had a wide range of practical experiences in the many congregations he supports.

His innovative ‘tent, the meeting place’ and ‘Ideas Café’ has had a tremendous impact in attracting students and young adults.

His many other experiences include establishing ‘musical therapy’ classes in Israeli schools for children with mental and physical disabilities; development of emerging Progressive Communities in the Czech Republic and leader of the annual Liberal Judaism Communities Israel Tour.
