Northwood and Pinner Liberal Synagogue is committed to supporting its members. We pride ourselves on a unique approach to care within the community.
At NPLS one of our core values is to create a supportive and caring community throughout the cycle of life. We do our utmost to offer support and care to all of our members.
Our professional Care Co-ordinator leads a team of experienced and dedicated volunteers who are trained to support members of our community from across the age spectrum.
They befriend members of the community who may be lonely, feel isolated or vulnerable and they keep in regular contact by telephone or with visits to their own homes or care homes.
The Care Team support people to live independently and offer transport to events held here at the Synagogue, lifts to hospital and doctors’ appointments, make soup when required and help with shopping. Sometimes they undertake odd jobs or practical tasks. The Team actively encourages enhancing health and well-being and create stimulating and enjoyable opportunities for members to socialise and have fun by hosting various activities.
Angela Peters, Care Co-ordinator, can be contacted on a dedicated care line 01923 855 611, through the Synagogue office or by email and offers members the opportunity to talk in confidence about their concerns or worries.
