Our Parent Organisations

Liberal Judaism is our parent body in the UK.

It is a founder member of the World Union for Progressive Judaism, which with over 1,500,000 members is the largestgrouping of Jews in the world.  The European Region of the World Union is based in London.

Our Sister Movements

Our sister movements in the UK is the Movement for Reform Judaism (MRJ), in Israel the Israel Movement for Progressive Judaism (IMPJ) and in the USA the Union of Reform Judaism (URJ). 

Organisations we support in the UK

The Leo Baeck College where our Rabbis and teachers are trained and of which we are a major sponsor, Pro-Zion the Zionist arm of the Movement for Reform Judaism and Liberal Judaism, and The Friends of Progressive Judaism in Israel & Europe which is the only charity in the UK raising funds solely for Progressive Jewish causes in Israel and in continental Europe.

NPLS has its own representatives on the major communal body of Anglo-Jewry, the Board of Deputies of British Jews and is involved and is supported by many other communal bodies, most notably the UJIA

We also support AJWO (Association of Jewish Women's Organisations). Liberal Judaism is fully represented on the AJWO Council

Organisations we work with in the UK

We organise Northwood Holocaust Memorial Day Events in partnership with Northwood United Synagogoue when 2000 school students visit local synagogues

We are delighted to host the Northwood Branch of the Jewish Association of Cultural Societies (JACS) which holds weekly meetings for the active retired and semi-retired. Full information of Jacs Branches including Northwood, please see website:

Hillingdon Inter Faith Network which promotes religious harmony through greater understanding and respect within the London Borough of Hillingdon

AJEX The Association of Jewish Ex-Service Men and Women

RenéCassin is a human rights NGO that uses the experience of the Jewish people, and positive Jewish values, to campaign and educate on universal human rights issues such as discrimination, detention, and genocide.

Abbeyfield BELMONT LODGE which provides very sheltered accommodation for older Jewish (and other) residents from the N.W.London area.

Fairtrade is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world. NPLS subscribes to the principles of Fairtrade

Leo Baeck Centre, Haifa a progressive inclusive, pluralistic educational organisation whose community centre and social outreach serves all Israelis – black and white, Arab and Jew, religious and secular, new immigrant and native born
